Before the World Championships, Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva noticed the leotards of Mariia Borisova from St. Petersburg and suggested creating a new look for the gymnast ahead of the main competition of the season. A few weeks later, we are watching Masha’s ribbon routine at the World Championships — in her brand new unitard!

Mariia Borisova from St. Petersburg is a European Championship medalist. The gymnast is a member of the main national team roster, lives and trains at the Alina Kabaeva Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy. The gymnast's coach is Irina Gusarova, and her choreographer is Ekaterina Belova.

The gymnast performs her clubs routine to their song 'Alatay.' The musicians saw her rousing performance on the first day of the World Championships and decided to offer warm words of support.
