Isabella Rojas from Cuba told how she is preparing at the Academy for the World Championships in Rio de Janeiro:<blockquote>"I came here to prepare for the World Championship. This will be my first time participating in the World Championship. Cuba has not participated in the individual championship for a long time. We were invited and they helped us a lot. I come here because I really like working with the coaches, the choreographer. They will help me improve the artistic part. The coaches who prepared me before worked a lot on the performance purity, placement of accents, correspondence to the music."</blockquote>The gymnast noted the progress after training in Sirius:<blockquote>"When I go to competitions or return to Cuba after training here, I see my progress. The coaches change and improve my program. Everyone helps me, and I feel very good here. The athletes are very friendly. And every time I go back to Cuba, of course, I miss the athletes, the training. In fact, I really like the people here and the way they treat me."</blockquote>The competition in Brazil will be held from August 20 to 24.

The youngest member of the Sky Grace International Association team won four gold medals at the Star Ripple Cup Grand Prix among gymnasts born in 2016.The St.Petersburg athlete shared her impressions and told why the experience of performing at international tournaments is important for her:<blockquote>"I really liked the tournament, the atmosphere is so positive, the mats are good, the panelling. I really liked performing here. Competing in international tournaments&nbsp; is very interesting because different girls come from different countries. And it is interesting to compete with them because they all do different things. And it is also interesting to see how they do it and what they do."</blockquote>Diana also thanked the coaches for helping her prepare, as well thanked Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva for the opportunity to perform in China:<blockquote>"My coaches Irina and Alina Gusarova helped me prepare. We did a lot of run throughs, so that everything was precisely right, and so that I would perform well. I once again want to say thank you to Alina Kabaeva because she gives the opportunity to go to these competitions and to showcase our talents."</blockquote>Diana's coaches are Irina and Alina Gusarova; her choreographer is Elena Egorova.

I am very grateful to her for this invitation. My dream is to become the Olympic champion."</blockquote>She also shared what she liked best out of the training session at the camp, which was the master class, where the gymnasts did warm-ups, general physical training, and rolls with a hoop.The gymnast's coach is Angelina Gurevich.

Ekaterina Dobronravova, a participant in the training camp at the Academy from the Krasnodar Region, shared what classes she likes most:<blockquote>"The coach and my mom filled out the application here, and I ended up here. I really like the classes in English. They are taught by Olesya Kovaleva. We do general physical training, stretching and apparatus preparation entirely in English."</blockquote>The gymnast also talked about the ribbon element, which she learned with coach Stella Sorokina:<blockquote>"I created an element together with my coach. I did a regular planche turn and just put the stick into a half-toe. It turned out to be a very unusual element. I’ve been good at ribbon since I was a child, and I like it."</blockquote>The training camp at the Academy will last until August 10.

She is flexible, strong, she does a great job of combining elements, and I want to be like her."</blockquote>Malanda Mainga Messi Celeste noted that she was glad to be back:<blockquote>"I’m so happy to be here. Last year we were here, and we are here again and I’m so happy. I can say it’s like our house, because we know many person here. Thanks to madam Alina Kabaeva. Gymnasts from Congo came to the Academy for a training camp

The judokas from the Republic of Congo won medals at the 1st African School Games 2025, which were taking place in Algeria from August 1 to 5.Mankala Oilantama Symphora Chance won the bronze medal in the 52 kg category, and Mpiaya Massala Divine came in third in the 57 kg category.In preparation for the competition, the athletes came to Sirius for training sessions organized with the support of the Russian Judo Federation, the international autonomous non-profit organization Africa Centrum, and the Martial Arts Academy.&nbsp;The results are available on the competition <a href="https://www.ijf.org/competition/3091/judoka_athletes" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">website</a>.&nbsp;

Coach Elizaveta Zorkina told us how the Academy conducted its first screening of children for the preschool education groups.&nbsp;<blockquote>"We had our first selection of schoolchildren. 18 girls came. Some are very good, flexible,&nbsp;already&nbsp;coordinated. It is obvious that they have trained somewhere. Some come who have not trained at all. And, probably, they still need to finetune their skills, improve their physical abilities a little. I really liked one girl there. I am&nbsp;recruiting into the&nbsp;2022 group. In addition to the fact that we looked at the girls, they are also checked over by a psychologist and doctors so that they are prepared for training. The selection will take place throughout August, every Friday from 5-6pm.
