Why do Academy gymnasts need diaries for choreography classes

Alina Kabaeva greeted the coaches, choreographers, and athletes, and checked in on their mindset for the work ahead.

As part of the preparations for the AEON Cup, Alina Kabaeva worked with Yana Zaikina from Volgograd. Together with coach Evgeniya Eliseeva and Olga Minigalina, the head coach of the Sirius Federal Territory National team, the Olympic champion helped the gymnast refine her back-attitude turn, fouetté turns, and a high-risk element.

On the first day of the competition, Evelina Tandalova from the Tyumen Region performed with clubs. Diana Kotlovskaya from St. Petersburg presented a new ribbon routine produced by Irina Zenovka. Alisa Shunina from Volgograd showed her new ball program, with Natalia Belugina as the routine choreographer.

Evgeniya noted that the gymnast was taking too long to execute a technical skill, so she suggested moving it to a different part of the routine. Meanwhile, Natalia helped refine the details.

The students of the Martial Arts Academy faced off against athletes from Abkhazia and students from the Multidisciplinary Gymnasium of the Sirius Federal Territory on the tatami.
