The spectators cheered Marina Malpica from Mexico, the Russian group team gymnasts, Mariia Borisova from St. Petersburg, and Arina Kovshova from the Novosibirsk Region during a control training session at the Zhemchuzhina Gymnastics Center. The athletes heard the support throughout each performance.
Mariia Borisova is a European Championship medalist. Her coach is Irina Gusarova, and her choreographer is Ekaterina Belova. Arina is a Russian champion and a World Cup medalist in Milan. Her coaches are Elizaveta Chernova and Olga Minigalina, and her choreographer is Ekaterina Belova. The St. Petersburg group team gymnasts are silver medalists at the Russian Championships. Their coach is Elena Petunina, and the choreographer is Elena Afanasyeva.
The gymnasts are members of the Russian National team.
