"Don't just hurl the apparatus, you need to know exactly where it’s going to land!"

29 September

During Volgograd’s Yana Zaikina’s clubs routine, Alina Kabaeva focused on her exit from the pirouette and the execution of the high-risk throw.

The Olympic champion reminded the gymnast of the advice given by the Russian National team’s senior coach, Emanuela Maccarani, that every throw must be precise, and the trajectory of the apparatus must be clear before the move is even performed.

Yana is a European champion and a National championship silver medalist. She is a member of the Russian National team and lives and trains at the Alina Kabaeva Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy. Her coaches are Evgenia Eliseeva and Olga Minigalina, and her choreographer is Ekaterina Belova.
