"No matter what happens, the apparatus should always be in your hands!"

This advice was given to Mariia Borisova from St. Petersburg by the Olympic champion during the preparation for the AEON Cup world club championship.

During the training session, Alina Kabaeva, head coach of the Russian national team Tatiana Sergeeva, and coaches Ekaterina Lots, Olga Frolova, and Alina Gusarova explained to the gymnast how to correct the lateral rotation, the risk with chaines, and the ball rebound. The gymnast finished fourth in the all-around among seniors and, along with Ulyana Janus and Ksenia Savinova, won a silver medal in the team competition. Her coach is Irina Gusarova, and her choreographer is Elena Egorova.


All Russian gymnasts at the tournament in Tokyo are partners of the Sky Grace International Association; they competed in the neutral status.
