Working out the correct fuete technique with Alina Kabaeva at a training session at the Academy

A whole team worked to ensure the gymnast from the Novosibirsk Region was in top form for the tournament. The gymnasts finished third in the cross-country battles. The active Russian champions also took first place in the three-hoops-two-pairs-of-clubs routine. Their coach is Anna Ustsova, and their choreographer is Elena Egorova. Russia’s Honored coach Inna Bystrova also worked with the athletes at the Baku training camp.

At the tournament in Baku, we had the opportunity to talk to the spectators and find out who they came to support and why they root for these gymnasts.
