Russia’s Honored coach Tatyana Sergaeva talks about working with the Academy's group exercise gymnasts

During the training session under the guidance of Russia’s Honored coach Tatyana Sergaeva, the Academy's group exercises team worked on an exercise with clubs.

After the session, the coach shared details of the preparation process.

"We’re going to begin serious work now, so some girls may switch. Everything depends on how they present themselves during the training process. We have compiled one exercise so far, the clubs. We have compiled them according to the new rules, according to FIG. The exercise turned out to be, in my opinion, quite interesting. In terms of difficulty, everything will also be adjusted during the training process. Everything new always turns out difficult. They do the dance bits very well, which I like, because the new rules are the dances. The girls caught it, they can do it. There are still difficulties with the transfers, but this is also all being worked out," she said. 

The coach also mentioned the performance of the Academy's group performers and their showcare performance at the Sky Grace Cup in Qatar.

"They are just going to Qatar to do a showcase performance. Irina Zenovka staged the showcase. This will be their first public appearance. What we’ve done so far are for the competitions. This will be starting next year," she said.

The international tournament, where the gymnasts will perform their showcase performance will be held from November 20 to 22 in Doha.
