Participants of the Sky Grace Academy trade union society training camp paid tribute to the memory of the Great Patriotic War heroes. The gymnasts came to the “Heroic acts for the sake of life” Sochi memorial and laid flowers.
The memorial is dedicated to the Sochi military doctors. During the years of war, 111 hospitals were opened in the city, and military doctors saved the lives of soldiers around the clock.
“Sochi is a city-hospital. Most of the wounded soldiers were treated here. The monument is of a doctor who is asking God to save the soldier and the nurse who is supporting him, trying to lift him up, to help him,” shared the gymnasts what they know about the memorial.
The training camp participants brought carnations to lay at the memorial.
“We brought flowers, remembered our relatives - our great-grandfathers, great-grandmothers who fought in the war. We honored them by remembering,” they said.
The Sky Grace Academy trade union society training camp is in session May 2-10.
Over 120 gymnasts from various Russian cities are taking part in it.
