Master classes of teachers from Alla Dukhova’s TODES Studio-School took place in the Academy
Choreographer Evgeni Safronov told us about features of the training session, while Karolina Tarasova from Donetsk and Mariia Borisova from St. Petersburg shared their impressions from master classes and explained benefits of dances in gymnastics.
Two master classes of teachers from Alla Dukhova’s TODES Studio-School were staged in the Academy.
Choreographer Evgeni Safronov explained specificities of working with gymnasts.
"Today I had three classes with girls of different ages, different levels, and it was great, they came into the room already prepared, charged up, their eyes were just shining. We learned small combinations for these basic levels, just to work a little with rhythm."
Mariia Borisova from St. Petersburg noted that knowledge received during the master class would help in gymnastics.
"It was such an interesting experience. I hadn’t really danced hip-hop before, I only had one-time master classes like that. And I really liked it, I started to feel the music, my body. It was interesting! I think it can be even really helpful in gymnastics. It was difficult, but here it’s probably not so much about physical abilities, it’s more difficult during training, but more about this sort of emotional release."
Karolina Tarasova from Donetsk also shared her impressions after the exercise.
"I really liked the dancing: it’s interesting, it’s coordination, and the music is very cheerful - you want to dance to it. I liked the teachers too, they’re so cheerful and emotional. Because the music was cheerful, and I wanted to dance, and I didn’t even feel that I was very tired."
