Graduates of early development groups Anastasia Dieva and Polina Pakhomova received the opportunity to keep studying at the Academy under the guidance of coach Ekaterina Lots.The specialist told how the selection process took place:<blockquote>"I have two girls studying with me, Nastia Dieva and Polina Pakhomova, born in 2018. They graduated in June and were then invited for the selection. They were reviewed again and have already been selected for training and education at the Academy. The girls had a pretty tough selection to this group. Morphotypical data were evaluated; flexibility, stretching, artistry, emotional qualities, and patience were also considered."</blockquote>She shared what work is currently being done in training with young athletes:<blockquote>"At the moment we are improving general physical background, doing a lot of stretching, completing a variety of preparations for jumps, and learning new and difficult elements. Girls also go to choreographic studies. In October, we are planning a competition where we want to perform and show that time the exercises we have prepared. My emphasis is on legs, clean feet, clean knees and hands. Next we have the back muscles, the cortical muscles go so that the gymnast can prepare and be able to perform the elements in the future.
