Coach Alexander Buklov talks about working on jump rope programs at the Academy

Alina Kabaeva Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy students are working on programs with a jump rope under the guidance of coach Alexander Buklov.

The three-time world champion in men's rhythmic gymnastics talked about the features of working with the object.

“This object is complicated, has no form, requires certain specific knowledge, there are some nuances that I would like to share with the children and their coaches. In fact, everything is much simpler than it seems. The eyes are afraid, as they say, but the hands carry on. The main thing is to explain it correctly and get it out to the children correctly,” Alexander said.

The coach is confident that the gymnasts will cope with the tasks.

“In a short period of time we can teach the basics, teach children to feel the middle of a jump rope, understand what a double-folded jump rope is, what an eshappe is and how important it is for subsequent manipulations. It seems to me that if we start with this and learn the simplest things, yes, master the fundamental building blocks, then then this object won’t worry them in the slightest,” the coach said.

The exercises with the jump rope are included in the programs of the international Games of Countries and Sky Grace competitions at the initiative of Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva.
