"I love the way we prepare!" Darina Budnikova shares about international competitions in Barnaul

Academy student Darina Budnikova from Belgorod is preparing for a tournament in Barnaul under the guidance of the USSR Master of Sports and coach Zlata Tulubayeva.

She spoke about the preparation process.

"I really like the way the training takes place, we have two training sessions a day. At the first training session we do the first two types, at the second training session we do the second two types. In the morning we go to weigh-in, then to breakfast, then in the morning we have choreography," Darina said.

Darina shared the details of working with coach Zlata Tulubayeva.

"Zlata Stanislavovna is a good coach, kind, she sees all the mistakes, makes suggestions, says everything, to extend the arms, catch the ball with one hand. We are rebuilding the programs according to the FIG rules. My goal for the tournament is to show my best qualities, to have a clean performance," she said.

She noted that the preparation takes place in a friendly atmosphere.

"Before the training we always wish each other good luck. Overall, I like the atmosphere of the competition, how we get ready," the gymnast said.

Students from the Alina Kabaeva Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy will participate in the international rhythmic gymnastics festival "Dynamo for Russia’s Children" in Barnaul, May 3-9.
