How did the Academy's preschoolers pass the standards? Coach Olga Frolova shares
Academy coach Olga Frolova shared how preschoolers from free early development groups passed the necessary standards.
"Our students with the year of birth from 2020 to 2018 are participating among the girls. We look at how they acquired new skills and abilities over the academic year, assess their general physical training and basic special physical training. We keep an eye on that in order to see progress of our girls, look to the extent of this age conforming to standard routines gymnasts are to perform," the coach said.
She told what elements the young gymnasts performed.
"Certainly, we start with basic elements, general physical elements. These are the ones like splits, folds, jumps in place. And, certainly, elements, such as passe, arabesque, with leg forward, with leg sideward, passe turn, attitude turn, jump with the touch," she said.
Olga also explained what the experts paid attention to when evaluating them.
"Girls are becoming familiar with objects since they are very young and they show exercises they are fundamentally doing everyday at workouts when performing standard routines. However, they must also demonstrate them to us here, to members of the board. That is, there is a psychological moment also, to give their best, to go to the main floor, like during competitions," Olga said.
