Irina Dzyuba summing up the results of the departing year in the Academy
Irina Dzyuba, the 1996 Olympic Games bronze medalist and the Academy Coach, summed up the results of the outgoing year.
“I think we wrapped up the year well. We have definitely completed the minimum program. We probably fell a little short somewhere. But so many colleagues wrote warm words about the girls who performed for us. They write that they have made a lot of progress.”
The professional paid particular tribute to gymnasts representing the Academy at the Sky Grace 2023 international tournament in Beijing.
“There was a lot of excitement about Kristina Voitenko, especially about her jump rope program. Plenty of words were said what a fireball Ksyusha Savinova is and how great it all is for the composition. Everyone writes, ‘It's hard to recognize Karolina, she’s gotten so much better.’ There is such a wave of positive emotions coming, although the competition is already over. Let's hope that next year, the year of the Dragon, will be fiery. We will keep working!”
Our gymnasts won seven awards in the junior program at the Sky Grace 2023: Kristina Voitenko from Novosibirsk won a gold medal in the rope exercise, silver in the hoop and ball exercise, and bronze in the clubs, and Ksenia Savinova from Gatchina won silver in the clubs exercise, and bronze in the jump rope and ball.
