Russia’s Honored coach Irina Chernyshkova came to the Alina Kabaeva Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy.
The coach held a lesson on musical influence and artistry, and then helped our students from Novosibirsk, Valeria Medvedeva and Kristina Voitenko, put their knowledge into practice.
Valeria Medvedeva spoke about her useful expert advice.
“Irina helps us listen to music, get on time for exercises. This is very important because we have artistic judges, and they can deduct a lot of points for not falling in line with the music, the strong beat. There was a fairly long training session, where Irina was working through the program with me. We changed it so that it would be more convenient for me, so that it wouldn’t be like I’m going first in one direction, then in the other, so that everything would be seamless and in tune with the music,” Valeria said.
Kristina Voitenko also shared details of her training with Irina Chernyshkova.
“She changed my clubs to make them more artistic. She changed places for me where it wasn’t logical body-wise, she helped us very much, because now you can get a very high mark for artistry, but if there are illogical body or object transitions, then there is a serious deduction,” Kristina said.
