Gymnasts from the Zhemchuzhina Gymnastics Club from St.Petersburg come to the Academy for a training camp

Group exercise gymnasts from the Zhemchuzhina Gymnastics Club from St.Petersburg came to the Academy for a training camp.

Under the guidance of coach Ksenia Timoshina, the gymnasts are preparing for the All-Russian tournament for International Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Clubs Association partners. After another training session, the specialist told how the preparation is going.

"We came to the camp at the invitation of Alina Kabaeva, for which we are incredibly happy and grateful, as always, because the camp here is very productive." 

The coach also explained how the programs are being restructured to comply with the rules of the International Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Clubs Association.

"We are slightly reworking the program, making it more difficult. According to the Sky Grace rules, there are minor changes compared to the FIG rules. And we try to improve, of course. New interesting transitions, dance sequences are added, and we learn complicated elements. Of course, we like the rules, because they are specifically gymnastic, they support elements that are typical for gymnasts, elements for flexibility. In the group exercise, we also try to show these elements that are typical for individual gymnasts. And this is what we try to be different from others," she said.

The All-Russian tournament for partners of the International Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Clubs Association will be held in Sirius at the Alina Kabaeva Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy and the Martial Arts Academy, November 27 to December 2.
