"This is something new in the world of rhythmic gymnastics." Judges about the Sky Grace rules seminar

Experts from different Russian regions and other countries came to the Alina Kabaeva Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy for a seminar on the Sky Grace International Rhythmic Gymnastics Clubs Association judging rules.

Before the start, the judges and coaches shared their expectations for the event.

Tatyana Dmitrieva, President of the Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation of  New Urengoy, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, spoke about her first impressions.

"Despite the fact that Sochi greeted us today with rain and gloomy weather, there is a really pleasant feeling in our hearts. The impressions are the most positive. We expect a sea of emotions and valuable information from the seminar, which we so need this season, since our rules are changing and being edited. These are completely different rules from what we usually judge by in competitions, so this will be very interesting information. And we will be happy to learn about it and work according to these rules," Tatyana said.

Violetta Nikiforova from Yakutia’s Republic of Sakha noted that she came to study with great interest.

"I expect there will be a lot of interesting things. I expect to see many friends and chat with them. Meeting friends we may not have seen for a long time. You always want to learn something interesting, discover something new. This is something new in the world of rhythmic gymnastics. And I came here to study with great interest," Violetta said.

For Olga Smirnova from Kazakhstan, this will be her first experience of judging according to the Sky Grace rules. She explained what she expected from the seminar.

"To get new information, learn the rules. New acquaintances with colleagues," Olga said.

Another coach from Kazakhstan, Sagina Muratkyzy, will also judge using these rules for the first time. She spoke about her expectations from the seminar.

"This will be my first experience. I never judged by the Sky Grace rules. I look forward to gaining new knowledge, new experience and meeting new colleagues. I want to learn, understand the whole system and judge in the future. These rules are much more complicated  than the FIG rules, the rules of the International Gymnastics Federation, but they can also be overcome and everything can make sense," Sagina said.

A seminar for judges and coaches on the Sky Grace International Rhythmic Gymnastics Clubs Association judging rules is being held at the Academy from January 13 to 14.
