Elvira Belyaeva from Gatchina has started practicing in the Alina Kabaeva Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy after the international tournament in Minsk. She is preparing to perform at qualifying competitions of the Spartak Physical Training and Sports Society, with the best performing gymnasts to go to the All-Russian Young Gymnast tournament on the basis of competition results.
Elvira told us that preparations for the competition are underway with Academy Coach Anna Ustsova, the 1996 European champion and the master of sports of international class, and added that she liked working with the specialist.
The gymnast is now preparing a program under Russian rules. She noted that she likes to perform with all the objects.
"They are all my favorites. The clubs used to be my favorites, but then for some reason I began to perform worse with them than with the ball."
Ksenia Savinova, another athlete from Gatchina, is to take part in the tournament together with Elvira. Elvira stressed that she likes to compete with her friend.
Qualifying competitions for the Spartak athletic society will be held in Saransk in September.
