Alina Protasova joins the coaching team of the Alina Kabaeva Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy.
She is the champion of the 1st CIS Games, the multiple prizewinner of the Russian championship, and the winner of international and all-Russian competitions.
Alia has told us already in the Academy how the new stage in her career started.
"Coach Irina Gusarova suggested it. I thought this was a very good opportunity. We spoke with Alina Kabaeva; she said, ‘Of course, we need young coaches to train the little ones’."
She also shared with us the details of her work with Irina Gusarova.
"For now, I treat her as my coach, I listen to her advice. She is already a family member. That is why I listen very attentively to her advice, to her opinion. I watch and take something for myself when she works. I would like to become a coach like her. When you stand on the floor and when you sit and look at the gymnasts, you already look at them differently. It's very interesting to set up programs, to think, to complicate something."
