
Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva celebrates her birthday on May 12.
Alina Kabaeva is a 2004 Athens Olympic champion and a bronze medalist at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, and an Honored Master of Sports. She is a two-time all-around world champion, a five-time all-around European champion, and a six-time all-around Russian champion.
In 2018, Alina Kabaeva defended her PhD dissertation at the Lesgaft National State University of Physical Education, Sports, and Health. Her research formed the basis for the training program for preschoolers in the Academy's free early development groups.
Today, Alina Maratovna is actively involved in the development of rhythmic gymnastics and the support of children's and youth sports. She is the President of the Sky Grace International Association, the head of the Charitable Foundation, and the Chairperson of the National Media Group holding company Board of Directors.
At the initiative of the Olympic champion, the Alina International Charity Festival, a large-scale project combining sports, creativity, and art,has been held since 2009. Since 2021, the Sky Grace Cup international tournament has been held under unique rules. Competitions have already been held in Moscow, the Sirius Federal Territory, Beijing, and Doha.
