Cuban gymnast Isabella Rojas reached the Pan American Championships final in the clubs final.Isabella scored a career-high 25.200 points and placed among the Top-8 gymnasts in the tournament. She also placed 11th in the all-around, the best among all Cuban gymnasts.Isabella's coach is Neli Borras.Training camps at the Alina Kabaeva Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy and the Martial Arts Academy were an important part of her preparation.

The Evgeniya Cup international tournament will be held in Omsk from June 7th to 11th. Gymnasts competing in the Candidate Master of Sport and Master of Sport categories will be participating.Among the participants of the tournament are Alexandra Borisova from Moscow, Anna Vakulenko from Volgograd, Ksenia Savinova from Gatchina, Yana Zaikina from Volgograd and Alesya Naifonova from Vladikavkaz. Veronika Malinina, a junior from St. Petersburg, will also perform outside the competition program.All the athletes live, study and train at the Alina Kabaeva Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy.

The Spanish team won gold in the all-around, three-hoop, three-pair-club, and five-ball finals at the European Championship in Varna.The father of one of the Spanish group couples, Fran Berua, told what emotions this start gave them:<blockquote>"We're very happy, we’re European champions again! It's great, two in a row! And we're delighted to see Belarus and Russia return; they have great potential. We're very happy and satisfied. It's simply magical. We're very happy and proud of them as fathers and as a team!"</blockquote>He also shared what the return of Russia and Belarus to the international arena means for them:<blockquote>"Russia certainly has great potential. As a father, I don't understand rhythmic gymnastics very well, and I shouldn't, but Russia certainly has great potential, including in this sport, where Spain is showing great results. We're very happy and, of course, we really appreciate the effort and work that Russia has put in once again."</blockquote>

At the European Championships in Varna, Sofia Ilteryakova won gold in the hoop exercise, bronze in the ball, as well as in the team competition with Maria Borisova, Eva Kononova and the group team.The gymnast told how she remembered the tournament in Bulgaria:<blockquote>"We came to represent our country well, to perform well, and to showcase ourselves. The experience was nothing but positive. I really enjoyed everything; the atmosphere was so welcoming because our fans came. The Russian flag, the 'Russia, go!' chant, it was incredibly helpful, incredibly motivating. A huge thank you to the fans who gave us so much support. It really helps us! Of course, we'll work on it, we'll review some of the programs, and maybe adjust some things. Of course, I'm most happy for the clubs in the all-around final, which also turned out well. And, in general, I'm happy with almost all of my performances at the European Championship. I tried to perform, to show my best on the floor, to the best of my ability, so I don't regret anything. Everything happens for the best. So it's meant to be."</blockquote>Sofia shared how she felt when the Russian national anthem was played in honor of her victory:<blockquote>"Pride that our anthem was about to play. I was incredibly happy, even when the anthem started, I started singing, cried a little, and realized how wonderful it was that after so many years we were back with the flag. But the end of the season is still far away. It's only the middle of the season, and the most important events are still ahead. On the first day, it was hard for us to compete. On the second day we managed to show ourselves better, but there were some minor mistakes.These competitions, first of all, taught me how to cope with unexpected situations. It's a rewarding experience.The most important thing now is the World Championships. We will continue to work to demonstrate our capabilities."</blockquote>She also mentioned the strengths of the athletes from Russia:<blockquote>"Very good! Very clean performances. So good control of body and apparatus. We haven't seen them on the international stage for a long time. And it must be said that they stand out for their purity and skill of execution."</blockquote>
