Martial Arts Academy holds training camp for gymnasts from Belgorod

The Martial Arts Academy has launched a training camp for gymnasts from Belgorod. The athletes came to Sirius with Russia’s Honored Coach Irina Savkina.

After one of the training sessions, the specialist told in more detail about the classes.

"We have 24 children, two more are coming. We don’t have the opportunity to train at home, because the conditions here are very good, the ceiling allows us. Now we are preparing for the Russian championship, then we have our own regional competitions, which will select girls for the Central Federal District," Irina said.

She also shared why this training camp is important for gymnasts and how their training takes place at the Sirius Lyceum.

"We have a great placement, the girls are all in the team. They do everything together, and train together, do their homework together. That is, the whole team is brought together, they reach out to each other. Those who are preparing for the Russian Championship, the girls, have two training sessions per day, because it is a very important competition. The other girls train from four to eight in the evening. They are undergoing training, they study in regular classes as well, so that they do not fall behind the program," she said.

The training camp for the athletes was organized by the Alina Kabaeva Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy, the Martial Arts Academy of and the administration of the federal territory Sirius.
