"They did a really good job!" Сoach Evgeny Ivanov talks about the training session with preschoolers

A training session with preschoolers was held at the Martial Arts Academy under the guidance of coach Evgeny Ivanov. After that, the specialist told in more detail about the training plan for the new academic year:

"The guys have a plan for this year, we are gradually bringing them up to hold throws. And next year they will already be taking the yellow belt. Accordingly, in order to take the yellow belt, they need to learn four holds on the ground and four throws in the standing position. A hold in judo means that you need to hold your opponent, your partner, on his shoulder blades. And in judo, this assessment is a complete victory. If you hold someone on the ground for 20 seconds, then it is considered a complete victory. The same as if you did a throw in a standing position, then this is a victory."

He also noted the progress of the young athletes:

"Today we studied two throws. The first throw we had was a hold throw over the hip, and the second throw we had was a throw hooking the shin from the inside. I liked how the guys practiced the hip throw in the standing position. Overall, I think they did very well today."
