Following their successful performance at the Grand Prix Alem international tournament in Astana, the gymnasts returned to the Academy. In total, the athletes won 32 medals. The seniors won all the possible awards in their category, winning five gold, silver, and bronze medals.The juniors won 12 medals, five gold, four silver, and three bronze.Our young Diana Sobyanina also won five medals — four gold and one silver. She competed among the gymnasts born in 2016.

Academy gymnasts returned from international competitions in Kazakhstan

Young gymnast Anastasia Li shared her impressions of the Grand Prix Alem competition and assessed the level of her competitors:<blockquote>"I feel proud to have had the opportunity to compete at a tournament of this scale because I can see my level and learn from others. I'm also really happy that the girls from Sky Grace came because they're at a completely different level, and for me it's been an experience competing against the best."</blockquote>The gymnast also shared who helps her cope with her nerves:<blockquote>"There are special rituals, but they're usually kept secret, sort of a secret. But usually, it's support from family and friends. The coach also helps with words."</blockquote>The athlete noted that she enjoys vaulting elements the most:<blockquote>"Actually, all the jumping elements are my favorites. I broke the record in my country—twenty jetés with a bend. But I've seen that girls in Russia do much more, and I want to try to reach their level."</blockquote>Anastasia named Lala Kramarenko as her favorite gymnast:<blockquote>"Lala Kramarenko has become my favorite gymnast. For me, she's the epitome of beauty, because her technique and overall execution, it just gives you goosebumps when you watch her."</blockquote>

Academy coach Elizaveta Chernova shared her impressions of the competition and talked about the gymnasts' performances:<blockquote>"The atmosphere here is really great, welcoming. The people here are very kind, they gave us a wonderful welcome. There were so many fans in the hall and in the stands. They were cheering our girls on, rooting for them, coming up to take photos."</blockquote>The coach expressed particular pride in the performances of the senior gymnasts:<blockquote>"I was pleasantly surprised. Anya Vakulenko, she really pulled herself together for the final event and did it. I gave her a little encouragement, and I'm so glad those words helped her."</blockquote>The junior gymnasts also received attention:<blockquote>" Alesya was really impressive. Yesterday she made a bad mistake with the ball, but today she pulled herself together and did everything. Liza —&nbsp;some events went well; yesterday she did well, today something didn't work out, we'll definitely work on that."</blockquote>The performance of the youngest participant was a highlight:<blockquote>"Diana, the youngest, went to this competition and won first place. I think it was a great experience for her."</blockquote>In conclusion, the coach expressed gratitude to Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva:<blockquote>"We thank Alina Maratovna for giving us the opportunity to travel to international competitions in other countries. It's a wonderful experience for the children. It's a great experience for the coaches. The fans are also very happy to see our girls. They learn, they run up to us, they take photos. I'd like to point out that the gymnasts from the Sky Grace International Association are very attractive competitors and create an atmosphere of excellent, high-quality competition. We invited them to participate with this idea in mind, and we're very pleased that the Sky Grace International Association is participating and showing excellent results. We're enjoying a great competition! Each gymnast is more beautiful than the next, and we enjoy watching everything that happens. It's incredible that our stands are full; spectators come and watch the gymnasts from beginning to end. And that's incredibly rewarding!"</blockquote>She told how the Sky Grace International Association help develop rhythmic gymnastics worldwide:<blockquote>"The Sky Grace International Association has created a very interesting format. I want to say that they not only provide opportunities for their own gymnasts, but also open up opportunities for other countries, for other gymnasts who want to develop and become stronger. Participants in the training camp discussed their plans and training conditions at the Martial Arts Academy.2025 World Judo Championship bronze medalist Eva Ognivova summarized the results of the recent tournament in Peru:<blockquote>"We had the World Championships under 21 in Peru, I think we performed quite successfully, our team took the honorable third place. In principle, we were not far from the gold medal this time, I would say it’s bronze with a golden sheen. All the team members tried very hard; this year we have an awesome team, including the coaching staff. Right now we are preparing for further competitions. It’s already the end of the season, but we are still preparing because we need to be ready at all times."</blockquote>Kristina Konovalova, another World Championship bronze medalist, shared her plans for future competitions and assessed the training conditions at Sirius:<blockquote>"We are having training camps for those under 23. There is a training effort here, they are showing us something new. We are practicing. For this training camp, I plan to improve my technique, maybe learn something new and recover well after the World Championship. I really like it here, compared to other bases. The atmosphere here is good, the hall is very nice, and the best in Russia, and even globally. 12 tatamis are a lot, there is plenty of space, comfortable conditions, accommodation, and food. I really like it here."</blockquote>

Gaini Bekbosynova, Head Judge of the Grand Prix Alem International Tournament, shared what made the Academy's gymnasts stand out:<blockquote>"The tournament is being held at a high level. We are glad that the gymnasts of the Sky Grace came to the Grand Prix Alem and adorned it with their participation. That is, the girls are very bright, charismatic, and dynamic. Young gymnasts, since they are only in the process of learning the technique of mastering the apparatus and the body, they may be less artistic. This component is not so developed with them due to their age categories. Therefore, they try to show lines, extended arms, legs, and elements. The older ones, on the other hand, are already more experienced in terms of handling the apparatus. Therefore, they freely own the body, can express their emotions, their image through conveying the character in their exercises."</blockquote>The expert also praised the opportunities provided to gymnasts from different countries by the Sky Grace International Association:<blockquote>"This is a good opportunity to give a child a chance to show herself once again on the floor, to prove herself. Indeed, this may be an impetus in her athletic career to assert herself. The gymnasts of Kazakhstan also performed at the CIS Games under the auspices of the Sky Grace International Association. And I believe that they gained tremendous experience. If there were no such opportunity, they would not have made it to these competitions, and would not have been able to feel themselves in this very moment, at this arena. The All-Russian Gymnastics Day is celebrated on October 25.Gymnastics includes several disciplines, including our favorite sport.&nbsp;Rhythmic gymnastics appeared in 1934 when the Higher School of Artistic Movement was opened in Leningrad. In 1963, the 1st European Cup was held in Budapest, which is considered the first world championship.
