"They are happy to attend a festival like this!" World Championship medalist Ivan Vorobyov talks about the Judo Family festival
At the master classes held as part of the Judo Family festival at the Martial Arts Academy, young athletes learn from titled judokas.
The 2013 World Championship medalist and coach of the Russian junior team Ivan Vorobyov pointed out how unique and important this festival is.
"First of all, it’s that children can train in the hall where the national team prepares for all the very important competitions, soak up the atmosphere, see the scale. And the most important thing is to interact with our judo stars, so that in the future they have the motivation to train and so that they see where they should strive to be in the future," Ivan said.
He also shared that his sons Nikita and Matvei always look forward to the festival.
"This is our third time participating in this festival, and they are really looking forward to this time. It is also important that this is happening in Sirius. And there are many children here whom they have become friends with, many teams who’ve come here before. They are happy to be at a festival like that," Ivan said.
