Olympic champion Mansur Isaev shares his impressions of the judo festival at the Martial Arts Academy

After an open training session for the participants of the judo festival at the Martial Arts Academy, Olympic champion Mansur Isaev noted the importance of the event for young athletes.

“The main goal is, of course, for this younger generation, who are just starting their journey, so that they can see their champions, so that they can see the benchmark that they need to set for themselves, talk to them, instruct them. If this continues to scale, and everything continues as it is now, then we will have a healthy generation.”

He also stressed that judo is becoming an increasingly accessible sport.

“This is a program that has now inspired many parents, many families to do judo. I think it is wonderful, and in fact our sport has become accessible to everyone, both adults and children,” he said.

The festival is organized with the support of the Russian Judo Federation.
