How are Belgorod swimmers training at the Martial Arts Academy? Coach Vyacheslav Chernyaev shares

Coach Vyacheslav Chernyaev told us how swimmers from Belgorod are training at the Martial Arts Academy.

"We have a swim team — 34 people. They are simply divided into training shifts — first and second shift. And so six people got in the morning, the rest got in the evening. Personally, I have a group of seniors of 14-15 people, and the rest of the groups are younger. Born from 2013 to 2017. There is a second coach of the younger group. And so now that we’ve come here, we will spend three weeks preparing for the winter competitions, for the Regional Cup. There are some smart children, mostly at an average level, we also have candidates of the first and second adult ranks, and people who are swimming up to the candidate level — children ages 14-15," Vyacheslav said.

The coach shared what impressions the athletes have of the conditions at Sirius.

"Considering that this is not for swimmers, the conditions are very luxurious. Especially the location of the pool, the starting platforms, everything is simply top notch," he said.

The training camp for Belgorod athletes was organized by the Alina Kabaeva Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy, Martial Arts Academy and the Sirius Federal Territory administration.
