After the master class at the Martial Arts Academy, the 2025 European Champion, many-time medalist of the Grand Slam tournaments, and Master of Sports of Russia in judo Danil Lavrentyev spoke about his way to victory:
"Of course, I was very happy with this victory. It took me a long time to get here. It has been a very difficult road. Because there were a lot of injuries in both the junior and youth ranks. And somehow, a year before the Olympics, I managed to make the senior team, and then qualify for the Olympic Games. But, unfortunately, we didn't go. Last year I finished second at the European Championships, and this year I won."
Danil Lavrentyev noted his father's role in his development:
"Of course, he helped me a lot. He made me train almost my entire childhood. I was a lazy person. But he made me such a hardworking child, and that's paid off greatly in adult sports."
The 2025 European Champion also prompted parents on how to properly train at home with their children:
"Probably, if they ask, then, of course, it's in some kind of game format. Just like here we just played a little, wrestled, the guys were very happy, the kids were happy. I think everyone enjoyed it. You can wrestle and train at home too."
The festival in Sirius was organized by the Ichiban-Tyumen Judo Club with the support of the Russian Judo Federation.
