We continue to share the progress of athletes from the Alina Kabaeva Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy. Previously, we posted the stories of Yana Zaikina from Volgograd and Ksenia Savinova from Gatchina.

Evelina Tandalova from the Tyumen Region, the champion of the Crystal Rose 2026 international tournament, has been living and training at the Academy since spring. How did her journey begin?

Evelina came to us with a good foundation, but at the very beginning, it became clear that the gymnast's main challenge was a lack of stability. During training sessions, the Academy specialists help her build confidence.

How was Evelina noticed at competitions? Why did Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva decide to invite Evelina to the Academy? Why is it important for children not to be afraid of making mistakes during events? We asked coach Olga Minigalina about this.

Olga also explained why the selection of the youngest athletes should not always be based solely on athletic criteria, as they often open up at a slightly older age.

Evelina’s coaches are Evgenia Eliseeva and Olga Minigalina, and the choreographer is Ekaterina Belova.
