Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva helped the Academy gymnasts prepare for their coming out to the competition floor and offered tips on what to focus on.

Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva addressed this parting word to the Academy juniors, Yana Zaikina from Volgograd and Ksenia Savinova from Gatchina, before the start of the second stage of the Cup of the Strongest.

Gymnasts from the Zhemchuzhina Gymnastics Center also recorded a video to congratulate Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva.

She presented the gymnasts with a cake. And the girls blew out the candles!

Alexandra Borisova and Yana Sakovich from Moscow, Miroslava Monina from Penza, and Alesya Naifonova from Vladikavkaz spoke about the cities' contributions to the Victory and how the memory of the heroic past is preserved today.

Diana Kotlovskaya and Karolina Pakhtusova from St. Petersburg, Evelina Tandalova from the Tyumen Region, Varvara Toporova from the Republic of Kalmykia, and Alisa Shunina and Anna Vakulenko from Volgograd spoke about how different cities of the Soviet Union experienced those terrible years.

On the morning of May 9, the Academy gymnasts watched the broadcast of the parade on Red Square, dedicated to the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
