Also competing in Beijing were Eva Kononova from the Tyumen Region and Sonya Vorobyova, Yana Sakovich, and Liza Geraskina from Moscow, all of whom had previously been coached by Vera Shatalina. At this event, Eva won gold in the clubs routine, silver in the hoop routine, and bronze in the all-around senior women's competition.
