The gymnast made her first appearance at the international stage in 2023, when she qualified for participation in the second Junior World Championships in Cluj-Napoca. 

She took part in the European Championships in her home city of Budapest in 2024. She took part in the European Cup 2025 in Baku next year and won bronze in the hoop finals. 

Elena is the daughter of Dragan Vukmir, the Serbia ex-football player and coach.
