Alexandra was born in New Zealand but moved with her parents to Australia at an early age. Here, from the age of three, she got involved in gymnastics and dancing, and from the age of six she started to take part in rhythmic gymnastics. Her parents were inspired by the performance of Russian gymnasts at the Sydney Olympics, and signed her up.
In 2018, at the age of 16, she became the bronze medalist of the Commonwealth Games in the ball and team event, as well as the youngest Australian champion. In 2021, Alexandra became the only Australian gymnast to compete at the World Championships in Kitakyushu, Japan.
In 2020, the athlete enrolled at the Monash University, Department of Law.
