She went in for rhythmic gymnastics at the age of five. Her mom advised her to choose a sport and focus on it. And Jimena chose rhythmic gymnastics because she liked ballet but she also liked to play with the ribbon, so it was an ideal combination for both.
Jimena is the first in history gymnast from Venezuela that became the South American champion both among juniors and among seniors. She is also the first one in 24 years who managed to win bronze for Venezuela at the Pan-American Championship.
The cherished dream is to go to the Olympic Games.
