Rulebook excerpts. Kabaeva rotation (KR)

We are talking about the rotation that bears the name of Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva.

14.

Kabaeva (KR) - a front split with a backward bend of the body below the horizontal line from a standing position.

This element is performed in a front split with the body tilted back below the horizontal from a standing position. The value according to the International Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Clubs Association rules is 0.50.

The rotation is assessed after the gymnast takes the required turn shape. The basic turn is 180°.

When performed from a sitting position, a 0.10 bonus is given to the base value of the element. The gymnast can earn the same number of additional points if she passes the apparatus behind her supporting leg.
