Exclusive. Interview with a legend from the world of rhythmic gymnastics — Egle Abruzzini

01 April

An exclusive interview with the legend from the world of rhythmic gymnastics — Egle Abruzzini, the President of the Technical Committee of the International Gymnastics Federation from 1984 to 2008.

The contribution of the Italian specialist to the development of our sport cannot be overstated: she worked on the improvement of rhythmic gymnastics as an Olympic discipline, and it is thanks to Egle that the programs for gymnasts became technically rich and difficult.

Today we present the first part of the conversation — Egle talks in it about her childhood, which coincided with the years of World War II, about the emergence of sports in her life, and about the Protestant upbringing that instilled in her the loyalty to principles that all her colleagues would later remember.
