"Perform for pleasure and show beautiful gymnastics." Kristina Voitenko about Alina Kabaeva's words of encouragement before the tournament in Beijing

Gymnast Kristina Voitenko from Novosibirsk told us what Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva talked to her and other Academy gymnasts on the phone on the eve of her performance in China.

“ She said to perform for enjoyment, to show beautiful gymnastics. For everyone to look and work even harder. Of course, she wished us good luck”.

Kristina Voitenko also noted how she remembered the Zhong Ling Cup competitions at the Olympic Stadium in Beijing. 

“My Impressions are only positive. Everyone here is very supportive and friendly. Their support is very helpful. In the beginning, when we first arrived, it was difficult. But since we arrived early enough, we managed to adjust to this time difference”. 

At the international tournament Zhong Ling Cup, Kristina Voitenko won the all-around junior program and received gold for exercises with a hoop, ball and ribbon.
