International competition named in honor of Evgenia Kanaeva wraps up in Omsk

On April 30, Omsk hosted the final day of the EVGENIYA CUP, international rhythmic gymnastics competition, named to honor the two-time Olympic champion Evgenia Kanaeva.
On April 28 and 29, the gymnasts competed in the all-around, while the individual event finals were held on April 30th. Gymnasts from Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Cuba and 13 Russian Regions of Russia took part in the tournament.
Belarus gymnast Alina Harnasko won in the individual all-around among seniors, she scored 144.55 points. The second place went to Russian Diana Chugunikhina (138.70), and the third is Belarus gymnast Elizaveta Zorkina (137.30).
Harnasko also won two finals - with a hoop and a ribbon. Diana Chugunikhina and another Russian, Alina Perfilieva, took second and third places in both events, respectively.
ln in two finals, with the ball and clubs, Russian Mariia Borisova placed number one, while taking fourth place in the all-around. Zorkina and Harnasko won silver and bronze respectively in exercises with ball and clubs.
The winner of the all-around among juniors (13-15 years old) was Russian Victoria Chumakova, who scored 124.400 points. With the same final amount, her compatriot Uliana Ianus was in second place. Nikole Keuliak (121.650) from Belarus won the Bronze medal.
Chumakova also won gold in the ball exercise, silver in clubs, and bronze in the ribbon. Ianus won gold in clubs, as well as two silver medals (hoop, ribbon). Keuliak won gold in ribbon, silver in ball, bronze in hoop and clubs. Russian Eva Kalinina won the hoop exercise, another Russian athlete Lada Suprun took bronze in the ball exercises.
In the group exercises among juniors ages 12-15 in the final with five jump ropes, the Belarus team took first place with 33,800 points. The second place belongs to the Russian team (31.500), and the third place belongs to the representatives of the Krasnoyarsk Region (28.850). In the final with five balls, the pedestal turned out to be the same: the Belarus team (32.400) won gold, the Russian team took silver (32.050), and the Krasnoyarsk Region team won bronze (27.800).
