On June 7, the All-Russian Formula of Victory tournament began at the Alina Kabaeva Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy. The tournament will also host the start titled The Way to Victory.
The tournament participants are approximately 900 gymnasts born in 2013 and older, from over 20 Russian regions. Young gymnasts will perform both in individual all-around and in group exercises.
The annual Formula of Victory tournament is held for the seventh time, but this is the first year that it has acquired the all-Russian competition status.
“This year is especially important, because we have been granted the status of an all-Russian competition, which means that at these competitions, children who have scored a certain number of points, the best children in our country, can achieve the title of "Master of Sports", receive a certificate,” said main judge of the competition Irina Kameneva.
She also noted that the news that the festival will be held at the Alina Kabaeva Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy created a lot of excitement. “Both children and coaches want to visit one of the best gymnastics facilities in our country and the world. Ideal conditions have been created here for athletes! Everything is here, from excellent training sports grounds, fully professionally equipped, to accommodation. The Medical Center is amazing! The park area, the recreation area is very good. Swimming pool, sauna… Everything that an athlete needs,” she said.
Kameneva added that the organizers will do their best to ensure that the tournament is held at the highest level. “We will try to make sure that everything is honest, fair, and organized well. And, of course, so that the children get a lot of positive emotions both from their performance and from their stay at the Academy,” she said.
The All-Russian Formula of Victory competition is held in Sochi at the Alina Kabaeva Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy, June 7-9.
