The Academy held the mAlinka competition for its youngest gymnasts

Alexandra Udodova from Kyrgyzstan and Maria Razorenova from Tajikistan are preparing at the Academy for the Sky Grace Cup International Tournament and Beijing Top Open 2025.Alexandra described the training process and what changes she and her coach have already made to their programs:<blockquote>"I feel right at home here. I really like it here, the hall is fantastic, the conditions are fantastic. It's a pleasure to train and live here. My coach and I have just added some new, interesting elements. Well, basically, all the events have been made more difficult for me now because this tournament follows the Sky Grace International Association rules, where you can try completely different elements. The elements they've added for me now are two in the ring, the throw-over, and the rope, which are also done according to these rules. I've never done anything like this in my life. To be honest, I've never performed with a rope. And it's really interesting to try myself under these rules. Overall, I'm not particularly anxious. Just a sense of anticipation. First of all, thank you to the Sky Grace International Association, which organizes competitions at this level and invites gymnasts from all over the world. Thanks to my parents and thanks to my coach, who always supports me."</blockquote>Maria also shared her impressions of the classes and details of her preparation at the AcademyЖ<blockquote>"This is my first time at the Academy. The working conditions here are simply excellent, the venues are comfortable. This is my first tournament of this scale, so I'm a little nervous. But my coach and I are trying to cope with it. Work calmly and not forget to rest, too. They made my program a little more challenging, mostly the risks. Thanks to Alina Maratovna for inviting me to train, first and foremost, in a hall like this and to compete at the Sky Grace Cup International Tournament and Beijing Top Open 2025 in Beijing. And thanks to my coach for the preparation and my parents for their support."</blockquote>The Sky Grace Cup International Tournament and Beijing Top Open 2025 will be held in Beijing from November 12 to 14.

Coach Anna Shumilova spoke about the success of her student Ksenia Saliy from Moscow, who, thanks to the Sky Grace International Association, had the opportunity to compete at the Cup of the Strongest:<blockquote>"For us, first of all, it's a fantastic success because Ksyusha got in through a quota from the Sky Grace International Association. That is, she wasn't initially selected at the Cup of the Strongest.&nbsp; But when the Sky Grace International Association granted her the quota, we were thrilled and prepared with the mindset that this was a great opportunity, and we needed to take full advantage of it. And the results showed that we did indeed take advantage of it. She made it into the top ten who will now compete in China. And this, of course, is a huge joy, the result of our hard work. Ksyusha is a very hard-working gymnast, you know, a truly dedicated one."</blockquote>The gymnast received the opportunity to compete in the Cup of the Strongest. She advanced to the finals, where she placed 10th, and will now go to the Sky Grace Cup International Tournament and Beijing Top Open 2025 in China.

Marina Drozd, the head judge of the All-Russian Young Gymnasts competition, explained why this competition is important for the athletes and highlighted the strengths of the participants from different regions:<blockquote>"We're delighted that Ulyanovsk is hosting this competition in a beautiful, modern facility. A very large number of athletes came here; they went through a rigorous selection process. For the girls, this is one of their first big competitions. For them, especially the young ones, it's a great honor to be able to compete in the All-Russian Young Gymnasts competition. It's like the first step toward their future. So, it's a definite motivation for them. It was a very vibrant and colorful competition. Despite their young age, we've known many of these gymnasts for years. And each semester, they've been improving their artistic skills significantly. The changes are clearly visible. It's interesting to watch their new routines. Overall, the gymnasts, performing according to these rules, are starting to feel much more confident and professional, improving in every aspect: the technical complexity of their apparatuses, the technical complexity of their body movements, even though they're still so young. We have a very good young generation".</blockquote>Marina Borisovna also praised the progress of Veronika Malinina, a student at the Academy from St. Petersburg:<blockquote>"Veronika has really improved her body difficulties. She has some pretty challenging new turns for us. She performed them brilliantly at this competition. She performed four events consistently, very well, and won this competition by a wide margin."</blockquote>Veronika won the all-around title at the Young Gymnasts tournament. Her coaches were Irina and Alina Gusarova, and her choreographer was Ekaterina Belova.&nbsp;

Evelina Tandalova from Moscow won the silver medal at the All-Russian Young Gymnasts tournament.The gymnast shared her memories of the competition in Ulyanovsk and what words her coach says help her focus before taking to the floor.Tell me about the atmosphere at the tournament.<blockquote>"The atmosphere was really cool. The girls were cheering me on, screaming. I think the competition is very high because the strongest girls here are the strongest girls from all regions of the country. They told me to do everything calmly, one by one, just as I'd trained, that I had it all down. I really wanted to come here; I thought I wouldn't. Thank you so much to Alina Maratovna for giving me this opportunity. I felt like Alina Maratovna really believed in me and gave me a chance to compete. Thank you so much!&nbsp; I came up with the makeup myself to match this rainbow-colored leotard that I have. I came up with it myself, told the makeup artist, and she said, "Let's try it." The hairstyle was meant to match my Indian hoop and the Eastern ball, but it turned out to be suitable for all of the routines. Alina Maratovna used to say, 'Never give up, don't relax in the middle, always stay on your toes, even if you've lost, pull yourself together, finish it, do it with energy, and shine.' Thank you so much to the entire coaching staff and the entire Academy for the opportunities they provide us with these trips.
