The Russian National team has declined to participate in the Rhythmic World Challenge Cup

The Russian National team has declined to participate in the Rhythmic World Challenge Cup in Romania, according to a statement made by the Russian Gymnastics Federation.
The decision comes as a result of a gross violation of competition regulations by the organizers, who failed to display the Russian flag at the tournament and notified the team that the Russian national anthem would not be played at the arena.
In May, the Russian athletes were permitted to compete under their national symbols. The Russian Gymnastics Federation added that it would seek unconditional compliance with World Gymnastics' decisions, utilizing all available international legal mechanisms.
