First finals of BRICS Games took place in Kazan on June 21.Russian gymnasts won the individual and the group exercises all-around and also scored a win in team standings.Athletes of the Sky Grace International Association team also won medals. They ranked second in team standings. The team from Nizhny Novgorod topped the list in group exercises under the seniors program. In the individual program, junior Kristina Voitenko from Novosibirsk won gold and senior Mariia Borisova from St. Petersburg grabbed silver. Mariia Borisova's biggest fan, her mother Olga, came to the St.Petersburg Championship. She shared her impressions of her daughter's performance at the competition in her hometown.<blockquote>"We haven’t been to St. Petersburg for a long time, there were no competitions here at home. We watched a lot on TV, but these are completely different emotions. And here, when you see it live, you see the eyes, you see the emotions, it’s, of course, impressive," Olga said.</blockquote>Olga also assessed Masha’s progress after having moved to the Academy.<blockquote>"Masha changed completely since she joined Sky Grace. Here she became completely different, revealed her, I think, potential. Maybe this is not all. We will continue watching, but it is very, very impressive, very emotional.
