The Academy group gymnasts won the gold medal of the Russian All-around Championships.This tournament was our team's first as seniors. The team includes: Sofia Sokolovskaya, Nelly Reutskaya, Nikole Andronchik, Alina Proshchalykina, and Zlata Remchukova.The team coach is Anna Ustsova, and the choreographer is Elena Egorova. Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva assisted the athletes in their preparation.The gymnasts from St. Petersburg placed second, and the combined team of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation placed third.

The 2020 gymnasts' qualifying rounds were held at our Academy.The girls showed off what they've learned over the past few months. The 2020 gymnasts' qualifying rounds were held at our Academy

At the Gracia Fair Cup, Italy's Viola Sella won two gold and two silver medals, leaving a lasting impression on the spectators and judges with her stunning elements. After the competition, she shared her emotions.<blockquote>"I'm really happy with this competition. It's one of the first competitions this year, and it was really exciting for me to compete again because I had an injury. It was quite a difficult time for me, so being here today is wonderful."</blockquote>The gymnast told what is the secret of her amplitude turns in attitude and why she loves the element of Kudryavtseva.<blockquote>"Partly, it's just natural talent, in the sense that I turn naturally. As a child, of course, I worked hard to learn how to turn and maintain my form while turning with attitude, and I always tried to improve it and maintain balance in this form. Kudryavtseva's element is a spin, a risk. It's a wonderful element, comfortable, and it gives points, and it's great to be able to do it."</blockquote>She noted which gymnasts she was targeting.<blockquote>"Right now, it's undoubtedly Sofia Raffaeli, our leading Italian gymnast, but really, all international-level gymnasts have something to draw inspiration from. And that's wonderful, because you can learn so much!"</blockquote>At the competition in Budapest, the Italian athlete won the ball and ribbon events, and also won silver medals in the hoop and clubs.

After the Gracia Fair Cup tournament, Ksenia Savinova summed up the results of the competition. She talked about her friendship with gymnasts from other countries:<blockquote>"I really enjoyed competing here, it's not my first time here. And I had a lot of support from girls from other countries at these competitions. I was really pleased that people were rooting for me here. I know Alisa Rosenberg from Israel. We met at the AEON Cup in Japan. And it's really cool that we became friends and can hang out here."</blockquote>The gymnast noted the support of coach Evgenia Eliseeva and Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva:<blockquote>"We just had a competition at the Academy, and afterwards we worked on our mistakes so we wouldn't repeat them at this competition. And I think it turned out pretty well. But there's still work to be done. Evgeniya Mikhailovna psyched me up before the performance, telling me every time I made a mistake after the routine and telling me to brace myself so she could see the floor burning through the camera. I felt like she was telling me the mistakes in my head, which helped me. Thanks to Alina Maratovna for calling, telling us the mistakes, and praising us. Thank you to everyone who came with us to this competition and who cheered for us at the Academy. I'm so pleased that the doctors, choreographers, and coaches are helping us."</blockquote>Ksyusha also named the gymnasts whose exercises she particularly remembered:<blockquote>"I really remember Ulyana Janus's new routine with the ball. I really liked it and how she did it at the competition. And I really liked Milena Shchenyatskaya's new ball routine, too, and how she did it."</blockquote>At the Gracia Fair Cup tournament, the gymnast became the best in the all-around and all-around finals. Our athletes competed under neutral status.

Ksenia Savinova sums up the results of the international Gracia Fair Cup tournament in Budapest

Gracia Fair Cup organizer Irina Berek noted the valuable experience our juniors and seniors gained at the international competition in Hungary:<blockquote>"We've had the girls before, we've seen them, we know them. But now they've competed at FIG competitions, which was really, really exciting for everyone. I wish the girls more competitions like this, because they're already known, they're loved. And the judges also said it was very beautiful; it's been a long time since they've experienced such a sense of true beauty and true competition."</blockquote>The specialist assessed the performances of the participants:<blockquote>"The girls who performed here are all different, individualistic. The juniors, of course, need to train their spirit so they can perform and make the floor shine. And the junior who masters herself and does everything she can will be the first. Because everyone has unique talents, elements, compositions, but they need to be executed. And for the juniors, this is the first task: they learn to cope with anxiety and show what they can do. As for the seniors, all our judges are unanimous — each one is more beautiful than the last. And it's very interesting to watch, when you sit and get goosebumps. We really enjoyed it."</blockquote>The tournament in the Hungarian capital was held under the auspices of World Gymmastics. Our athletes competed under neutral status.&nbsp;
