“She can compete with all the strong athletes!” Vera Shatalina - about Ksenia Savinova’s performance at the Russian Championship

Russia’s Honored coach Vera Shatalina came to the Russian Championship in Moscow together with her students.

She spoke about the performance of Academy student Ksenia Savinova from Gatchina at the tournament.

“I like  Ksenia Savinova, I’ll tell you right away. She makes a great impression on me: a beautiful, good girl. If she doesn’t make mistakes,  she gets decently high marks and can easily compete with all the other strong athletes,” Vera said.

She also shared her emotions from the competition.

“There is a lot of competition. The schools are working great. The coaches are super professional. Believe me, without a teacher there is no athlete. This is a very serious battle. It’s very colorful and pleasant to watch the children at these events,” she said.

“What I saw on TV, more than once, I really enjoyed. Thanks to Alina Kabaeva for continuing this work. It’s beautiful! Well, it’s just beautiful, so many children. Professional, colorful, wonderful director, musical accompaniment. 10 points with a plus sign,” she said.
