“Very interesting rating system!” Judge Oksana Kurganskaya talks about the Sky Grace International Rhythmic Gymnastics Clubs competition

At the interregional Far Eastern Federal District and Siberian Federal District competition in Novosibirsk according to Sky Grace International Rhythmic Gymnastics Clubs rules, Russia’s Honored Coach judge Oksana Kurganskaya noted how the judging at the tournament took place.
“Judging by the Sky Grace rules is really very interesting. It’s quite easy to adjust here, in terms of group exercises, I mean. The personal program is a little more complicated, the girls have to learn new elements, there are differences. And judging is very easy, because there is some practice with Russian and FIG rules. But, in general, the difference is only in the elements. And here they pay a lot of attention to technology, a very interesting evaluation system,” Oksana said.
The judge also spoke about the program preparation for the competition and the plans of the tournament champions from Omsk in group exercises.
“First of all, of course, according to the rules, we looked at what differences there are in the elements. But we rebuilt the program very quickly, we didn’t have anything like that, no problems in reworking it.But the only thing is, if we work on it in the future and add even more complex elements, that is, to get a higher grade,” she said.
Interregional Far Eastern Federal District and Siberian Federal District competition took place in Novosibirsk, March 18-20. The tournament was held by the Sky Grace International Rhythmic Gymnastics Clubs Association, whose president is Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva.
