"Plenty of memorable girls!" Zlata Tulubayeva sharing thoughts of the Alina Kabaeva Grand Prix Champions Cup

USSR Master of Sports and Academy coach Zlata Tulubayeva was among the judges of the international Alina Kabaeva Grand Prix Champions Cup.

She told us about working at the tournament.

"The atmosphere is great; it is festive and competitive. The tournament is held at a good high international level.  Each rule is interesting in its own way. FIG rules are a little easier but these are also interesting for foreign gymnasts who, in general, will not be able to compete under Russian rules."

The professional commended performance of Academy student Ksenia Savinova from Gatchina, who won three gold medals at the competition.

"Ksenia’s level of training is very high. And although some mistakes were made, she still remains a high-level gymnast with good preparation. In any case, this can all be fixed and worked out."

She also shared, what gymnasts were particularly memorable for her at the tournament.

"I like the gymnast from Moldova, Yana Karaman. She is very emotional, she sings when she performs. The girls from Kyrgyzstan. One girl was amazing, she had an awesome launch. In general, the children are all bright, everyone is determined to perform well, so there are a lot of memorable girls!"

The Alina Kabaeva Grand Prix Champions Cup international competition is being held in Moscow from March 13 to 17. Academy student Ksenia Savinova performed according to the FIG rules and won three gold medals for exercises with hoop and clubs, as well as for the sum of points for both events.
