The Alina Kabaeva Champions Cup Grand Prix is being held in Moscow. This tournament traditionally brings together best Russian gymnasts and representatives of other countries.&nbsp;Athletes from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Venezuela, Germany, Grenada, Israel, Canada, Kyrgyzstan, Luxembourg, Moldova, the UAE, Puerto Rico, Slovakia, the United States, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey and Uzbekistan came to Russia this time. Thanks to all of you for presenting the real festival for the viewers!We express gratitude to all the organizers, administrators and staff. You create the atmosphere of coziness and hospitality and all the attendees will keep it in their memory for long!We thank all the members of the judge panel for the concerted effort and fair evaluation of performances! Coach Alina Gusarova summed up the performances of the Academy students at the St. Petersburg championship.&nbsp;<blockquote>"First of all, we are glad that we came here. We haven’t performed on our home ground in our city for a long time, we are very glad that we did it now. Of course, not all the performances went well. But we have something to work on, we will try to make sure that everything works out at the next competition," the coach said.&nbsp;</blockquote>Alina told us what our gymnasts did well and what they still need to work on.<blockquote>"Veronika Malinina performed well overall. She passed all the events more or less except for clubs. Veronika Solomatina performed according to the candidates now. She was born in 2012. Karolina Pakhtusova tried very hard, she really wanted not to let us down. She really wanted to show her best. And this hyper-responsibility of hers, unfortunately, let her down today. Miroslava came with us to St. Petersburg to perform, to try out, because she performs very little, the more performances she has, the better. Lia Rodionova did a good job, she tried. She worked with Olga at the Academy, here I just helped her, suggested something if she needed it. She's great. Coach Anastasia Kontareva assessed the performance of the Academy's students at the St. Petersburg Championship.&nbsp;<blockquote>"This event is one of the most important ones because the next contest is the Russian championship, and this competition is the qualification. I have noticed great progress of the girls that moved to the Sky Grace. They became even better, grew up. Their compositions stand out against the general background. And, certainly, it is interesting to watch them", she said.</blockquote>She also spoke about working with her student Alisa Panicheva, who took part in the interregional Sky Grace Tournament and received the right to perform at the All-Russian competition in Sirius.&nbsp;<blockquote>"She proved what she could at the Sky Grace competition. Certainly, she could have performed better because there were mistakes. This is because we changed exercises for the Sky Grace rules literally in a week before the competition, since they slightly differ. Definitely, it is more interesting for me under the new rules and under the Sky Grace rules, because exercises became livelier, artistry was added, the dance was added and charisma of the children was added in routines", she said.</blockquote>The St. Petersburg Championship was held from February 26 to March 1 in the Zhemchuzhina Rhythmic Gymnastics Center.

The girls greeted me very warmly, and so did the coach. I was very pleased to perform here, because the girls supported me, shouted, cheered for me, and the atmosphere here was very pleasant," Lia said.</blockquote>The gymnast thanked Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva and her coaches for their support and assistance in preparation.&nbsp;<blockquote>"Olga Minigalina and Evgenia&nbsp; Eliseeva helped me. I was told to look at the judges, not to lower my eyes. Even if it becomes difficult for me towards the end of the program, under no circumstances should I show it.
