The winner of the Zhong Ling Cup tournament, an Academy student Ksenia Savinova from Gatchina received a special award for the best choreography at the gala show:
“Olga Stryuchkova-Prut choreographed it for me, and it turned out that everyone liked it very much.”
The young athlete also spoke about her impressions of the competition and explained why she was pleased to compete in China, despite the difficulties due to the climate:
“It was very hot, my hands were sweating before performing. Most of all, what I liked the most and will remember is the atmosphere. Everyone was rooting for me. When the scores were announced, everyone supported me”.
In Beijing, Ksenia Savinova took first place in the all-around among juniors, and also became the first in exercises with a hoop, clubs, ball and without an object.
