Ksenia Savinova and her coach Evgenia Eliseeva summed up results of the performance at the Alina Kabaeva Grand Prix Champions Cup

Academy student Ksenia Savinova from Gatchina and her mentor Evgenia Eliseeva took stock after the gymnast’s victory at the Alina Kabaeva Grand Prix Champions Cup international competition.

The coach of the athlete extended appreciations to everyone for support and noted that she is satisfied with the student’s performance.

"I’m very happy with our result, because we were preparing in a fairly short amount of time. We went to the Alina festival in Minsk, and there was very little time to prepare; we redid the programs literally in a matter of days. But many thanks to the Academy coaching staff who supported me, helped me with advice and emotionally so everything worked out and we got gold! And many thanks to the Leningrad Region for supporting Ksenia!"

Ksenia also shared, why it was important for her to participate in this competition.

"It was important for us to perform at these competitions, because they are named after Alina Maratovna. Alina Maratovna had very colorful, artistic performances, and I liked her droplet and double ring elements. When I was learning how to do a double ring, the coach showed me exactly her performance."

Ksenia Savinova performed according to the FIG rules at the Alina Kabaeva Grand Prix Champions Cup international competition underway in Moscow and won three gold medals for exercises with hoop and clubs, as well as for the sum of points for both events.
